What we need is some super cool scifi series that totally kicks arse and is not based on any previous series or film or comic. Something unique and badarse. Havent seen that since babylon5 and space above and beyond.

Apart from startrek (tng, ds9 & voyager), stargate, battlestar galactica theres nothing that really took me by the collor and shook me up a bit. Sarah Connor is starting to get good for me but it'll probably go the same way as firefly and (to a lesser extent) jericho :(

Dark Angel and Firefly came out after those two. Sad thing is that most of the type of shows you are talking about here seem to make their way to FOX, who isn't exactly known for their patience when it comes to giving them time to find their legs and an audience. Which is strange when you consider that it was a show of this type that helped put FOX on the map, X-Files. I bet Mulder and Scully wouldn't last more than a season if released on today's FOX.

I'm excited for Whedon's Dollhouse, but also wary because it will premiere on the Network of Doom.

never even heard of dollhouse. googled it and it sounds too much like alias, dark angle and kyle xy. I'd give it a chance though when it comes out.

Just watched sarah connor episode 5 queens gambit. Its looking pretty good so far - shame it will be cancelled after the first season :(
I think I'm having a thing for cameron - is it okay to have something for a terminator on a ficticious tv show? If I was John connor I would send back a terminator that I could totally have fun wiv. Perhaps thats what he did - she looks pretty hot and always wearing short skirts, crop tops and even unholsters her bazookas (damn I gotta stop drinking coke).

Every television show named in this entire thread has been cancelled, or should be cancelled.

I will force myself to actually like Sarah Conner Chronicles if Angelbaby finishes season 2 of Arrested Development.

It's been like 9 years she hasn't finished that.

I was chatting to a couple of mates of mine in a pub and i was telling one of them who hadn't seen sarah connor about how cool it is and that hes gotta come round mine and watch it. Then my other mate piped up with - they've cancelled that. He's one of those people who know it all and most of the time he does so I was like no way! He gave me the website that hes a regular on and on there it looks like it is. ACCORDING TO ONE WEBSITE.
Nine episodes completed before the strike and will probably air, but the show is looking highly unlikely to be picked up.
Dark Horizons: Source

Now everywhere else it states that they are finishing the Season after the next nine episodes but there is no news on its cancellation. I've checked tv.com, thefutoncritc and the official website and nothing is mentioned at all. I'm kinda hoping that Dark Horizons just misread season for series.
So I put it out to you guys n girl - can you find a more reliable source that says yay or nah for season 2 of sarah connor?

Yep. That's the rumor. This strike was particularly harsh on pilot/iffy projects. I believe that Pushing Daisies survived, barely, but most of the other's didn't. K-Ville, Journeyman, Bionic Woman, Sarah Connor Chronicles, etc. etc. Studios are just reacting to the fallout.

Sucks I was all for Bionic Woman. But at least Chuck, and Pushing Daisies seem safe (for now). I really enjoy the escapist fantasy of Pushing Daisies. And Chuck is a geekier-fun version of Alias without all the heavy drama.

The latest episode was the first one in the series where I thought there was hope for this show.

I'd love a Summer Glau bot. I have some interesting algorithms to teach her.

Okay - you're this guy in the post-appocolyptic future - you are the leader of the freedom force protecting humaity from skynet. You need to send back a terminator to protect your past self so that he grows up to be you. You live in squaler (sp?) and misery - living from one moment to the next so you want to send a terminator that will give youself some pleasurable memories to hold on to as you fight to stay alive. So you hijack a terminator who looks so hot and fuckable (probably skynet created her as it knows that guys go ga ga over this actress from the 21st centry). You program her to have this sultry look about her - her mission is to protect your past self and generally flirt with him - you giggle as you think about what a head fuck she would do to your past self. You think - to hell with it - lets put on a fake va-jay-jay (is that how americans call it nowadays?) - the programming complete she puts on this innocence of a 14 year old virgin christian girl but can suck-start a boeing 747- she can do ballerina moves that would make a coma guy groan with lust - then you send her off to the past and wait for those memories to write themselves in to your brain.
