Hey, go easy on the guy. While Duchenne's might not affect the brain, it has a tendency to affect the tongue (a muscle), and so he might not be able to tell his parents/caretakers that, "No, Dad, Dr. Pepper is gay. Get me the shirt that says I fucked the girl from Hanson." This is to say nothing of the fact that Duchenne's also has a propensity for learning disorders and autism.

In short, it's probably not his fault his parents dressed him in a Dr. Pepper outfit. However, it's entirely possible that, in the event that the Duchenne's hasn't affected him mentally, this ride is the highlight of his life. We used to live for that sort of shit when I was a teenager.

An anecdote: Not long after I saw Grindhouse, I ran into an old buddy who has cerebral palsy, and he said he really wanted to try "The Ship's Mast" sometime. If I wasn't so deathly afraid of what might happen to him if something went wrong, I'd secure him to the hood and windshield and take him up on it.

I have a feeling there are a bunch of terrorists calling each other going "hey was that yours? No? Nope wasn't me either. Shit wonder who planted those?".
